Dr Goswami obtained a Bachelors’ degree in Textile Technology and then worked within different industries including a world leading third party textile testing and quality certification company. Subsequently he did a Masters degree in Advanced Textile and Performance Clothing and a PhD at the University of Leeds.
Dr Goswami heads the Fibre and Fabric Functionalisation Research Group at the University of Leeds.
Dr. Goswami’s domains of research are product development using flexible materials and application of chemistry for functionalising textiles. Dr Goswami manages a large profile of research concerned with fibre/ polymer science, nonwovens, medical textiles (implantable materials, non-implantable materials), sustainable materials (fundamentally understand the properties of new material), application and development of nano/ sub-micron fibres for novel applications, plasma treatment for functionalising textiles and textile chemistry.
Dr. Goswami is presently supervising twelve PhD students, one MSc by research, and five research fellows. He is a Member of SDC’s (Society of Dyers and Colourists) Education, Qualifications and Accreditation Board (EQAB) and was a member of EDANA’s Board Working Group on Sustainability.
Prof. Dr. Sebastian Probst
Dionysia is a market intelligence lead and subject matter expert (SME) in the medical textiles industry. Through the WTiN Medical Textiles channel she has designed and delivered industry’s first-to-market strategy, product development and innovation intelligence, market sizing models and best practice thought leadership. Dionysia has conducted more than 250 intelligence assignments for CXO-teams in pharma and biotech. She is a certified intelligence practitioner with an MBA from the University of Durham, UK, and an MSc in Business Intelligence & Data Analytics.
Robabeh (Zohreh) Gharaei
Paul heads up Team’s design group, working closely with clients and colleagues to improve the user experience of medical devices through design. Paul is a passionate advocate of the importance of ‘good design’ and is involved in all stages of product development from front end innovation to detailed design for manufacture.
During his time at Team, Paul has lead the design & project management of many innovative products including inhalers, injectors, surgical instruments, diagnostic platforms, child resistant packaging and consumer medical products. He is particularly focused on ensuring the right direction is set from the outset, that user needs are thoroughly understood and represented throughout.
Before joining Team in 2002, Paul earned his stripes working as an in-house designer for several manufacturing companies, gaining a deep knowledge of design for injection moulding and volume manufacture and an ability to ‘see it from the other side’. He has a degree in Product Design from Central St. Martin’s College in London.
